Rotaliss is a bio-modular project at the intersection of technology and botany. The music is generated in real-time by converting the bioelectric currents of plants (celery, scallions, etc.) into a MIDI stream.
A defining feature: the tempo (BPM) of each composition is not predetermined; it is algorithmically calculated based on the plant's pulse at the moment of recording. Utilizing the Cardinal environment, Rotaliss transforms organic chaos into structured electronic textures, where the plant acts as both the source of melody and the conductor of rhythm.
