Move On (feat. Nash Walters)
The story of this song: I had initially released “Move On” on my YouTube channel and streaming services. I didn’t initially know what I wanted to do with it. I thought about pitching it to a few of my friends to see if they wanted to record it. Albeit, I never asked, so I just released my own version. I thought the reception was rather positive, but there were things I was unsure about in the first version. I randomly ran across Nash’s YouTube channel right after I released the song. I commented on one of his videos saying that I was impressed with some Beatles covers he had released. In return, he found my video of “Move On,” and he was apparently impressed with it. However, like me, he heard more that could be added to make it more “complete.” After we had chatted for a while, he randomly sent me some harmony vocals on top of my original mix of it. My jaw dropped: THAT was the missing piece to the puzzle! My harmonies weren’t prolific enough to “fill in” the song. So, I asked if he wanted to remix it with my original multitracks and add some more harmonies. It turns out he also added a new guitar solo, some random assorted guitar licks, and some strings in the intro. I also sent him over a MIDI version of my original piano intro that I had scrapped and a recording of my Yamaha digital piano’s harpsichord setting of the same intro. Nash’s final mix was literal perfection in my book! He also took the photo on 35 mm film and designed the cover art! I can’t wait for you all to hear this new version of “Move On” that is the truest to my original vision of it. This is the epitome of how like-minded music collaborators can bring each other’s songs to life! more

Alone
This is going to be my next single. I've worked on this track on and off for the better part of eight months. I've really tried to push the boundaries of my production techniques on this track. After listening to "I'm Only Sleeping" and "Tomorrow Never Knows" off of The Beatles' masterpiece album "Revolver" for all of my life, I was fascinated by the reverse lead guitar in those songs, and I wanted to emulate that trippy tone in one of my own songs. I had failed several times before, because after reversing the track, the solo did not match up well with the chords I was playing, since the chord progression/scales I was soloing within were reversed on the track as well. I had laid down a somewhat haphazard guitar solo intro to this song, which I was not particularly happy with, but after reversing it, I found that style of playing that I'd been trying to come up with for years. I hope you all enjoy! Please let me know what you think of the mix, production, vocals, and overall tightness of the track before I release it. Peace out, Ryanmore
