Born Italian, raised in Ramstein — where the pasta meets the pretzels and the soundtrack to childhood was whatever the American GIs were blasting through the base. Growing up in the shadow of one of NATO's biggest air bases in the '70s and '80s meant one thing: a front-row seat to the best music America had to offer, long before the rest of Europe caught on.
Rock, soul, funk, and country drifting over the fence from the barracks — that's the kind of cultural education no school can give you. Part Italian heart, part Palatinate upbringing, fully shaped by the AFN signal and a generation of homesick soldiers with excellent taste in music.
