MC Samir / Sam Da’joint or simply known as Sam, has definitely made his mark on the hip-hop scene in Malaysia being the 2nd generation of hip-hop acts to emerge during the 90’s with the infamous group called “Dajoint”. The unleashing of groups such as DEF RYHMES, DA FUNK SQUAD, Naughtius Maximus and PMO in the early 90s have introduced hip-hop culture in Malaysia and this insurgence of this genre has opened the way for a bunch of guys called Da Joint and he was the founding member of the outfit. Mc Samir / sam dajoint recorded his first solo album in 2006 and bagged two major award nominations and 3 hit singles across his career and massive radio airplay at the number spot (7 weeks) on the Malaysian top ten and local Malay stations, his track Dikir Berbisa was also the official song for the Kelantan football team fans and supporters back then.
