Born & bred in the township of Soweto, South African; Knox is a devout disciple of vocal jazz harmonies. He was raised in a very musical household & from the tender age of 6-7 years, his parents quickly realized that he didn’t only speak IsiZulu (his mother tongue) but he was very fluent in harmony as well. Singing, to him, came as equally natural as speaking. He grew up singing at church with a group of friends & the ensemble was called Steps to Christ quartet. The group was orchestrated by his dad. Overtime, he pursued other interests (like any other teenage boy would) like soccer, reading and chess but music was always his first love. Around his high school days he realized that he had a vocal arranging gift & he sharpened it to perfection. He entered a continental music competition with a group called Simply Intact & was a runner up therein. Today, he is the President of a musical utopia called “Knoxville” where fluent vocal harmony is the native language.
