Torikul Islam Shomrat (Bengali : তরিকুল ইসলাম সম্রাট), also known simply as Shomrat, Born in 3 August 1997 is a Bangladeshi composer,singer,musical artist and filmmaker. He works on modern pop and rock music, EDM and a fusion of traditional Bengali music with contemporary techno and urban beats. His music is mainly influenced by Teen Bengalis of both West Bengal & Bangladesh .
Torikul Islam Shomrat was born and grown up in Dhaka, after completing his boyhood and higher school certificates, he got himself admitted into Bangla College Mirpur and completed his graduation in IT .
At the age of 17 he was introduced to the music industry and launch the first album " Night Drive " on different digital music platform as Spotify, Soundcloud, Youtube, Tiktok, Apple music, I-tunes, Amazon music, Jiosaavn, Tidal, Deezer , Pandora and so more. Besides music, he is so passionate to make films and learning filmmaking. So he worked in some films as AD and chief DOP.
