Simon Elijah is an Upstate NY singer/songwriter. He has been playing guitar and singing since he was 11 years old. His songs span the range from heartfelt to humorous and everything in between. He is best known for his recent hit, Can Opener Bridge, which he wrote about a local low railroad bridge with which trucks frequently collide. Simon is inspired by folk legends such as Pete Seeger and Woody Guthrie, as well as contemporary folk and Americana artists such as Jason Isbell, Brandi Carlile and Cheryl Wheeler. Besides making music, Simon is a high school student who enjoys other hobbies such as running track and cross country, woodworking, cycling and almost anything outdoors.
