Seattle-area trio Shining Wire formed in summer of 2021. Their core sound is dark alternative rock, with a range of sub-genre influences including metal, goth, and indie punk. Band members are longtime musicians from the Seattle and Midwest underground scenes: Machell Collier—drums and lead vocals (Free Verse, C’est La Mort); Pat Freed—guitar, bass, and vocals (Wormwood, Black Label, S.I.K); and Lara Haynes Freed— keyboards and vocals (Wormwood).
