I am a singer songwriter, artist and teacher living in Dublin Ireland. Slow River School is has been a music project that I have been working on over the past five years drawing inspiration from folk, alt country and Americana. Songs from the woods is the latest EP from the Slow River School . I played regularly around the Dublin scene in the noughties and went on to play and tour with Adrian Crowley before training in Psychoanalysis. After taking a break from music to raise a family I began writing and recording again in 2020 Songs from the woods includes 6 songs each one acting as both recollections and mindful observations of the natural world. The Slow River School’s music has been referred to by Hot Press as ‘soft and hazy’ and Songs from the woods certainly fits that description.
