Solstice represents the ever expanding wave of artists that perform what he calls "sonic fusion": combining music genres together to form a new sound. The prologue of the Alternative-R&B singer/songwriter began when he picked up guitar in his late teens, heavily influenced by progressive metal solo players and groups. Having tried to form super groups in his local area, the guitarist-turned-singer leveraged his voice as the missing piece to carry out his vision. His debut EP, Villains , explores recollections and visions of the party scene and the dark side of the night life. Being a fan of the "Slowed and Reverb" aesthetic, Villains (Slowed + Reverb) was later released to magnify the darker tones from the original release. Exploring new sounds, "Villains" was followed up with singles Angelina and pickyourpoison . The singer also makes up one third of the music collective, MIDNIGHT DISTRICT , alongside "Villains - EP" features Pace.maker and AnthonyJsenseI .
