Ssunday is an experimental R&B singer/songwriter, published photographer, and painter based in Toronto. He has been recording and performing music since 2020, releasing a self-produced EP titled "First Tracks" and notable singles like "Company," which was featured on CBC Radio's Stombo Show. He was inspired to make music by watching Rap videos on DVD while growing up in Port Harcourt, Nigeria. As a kid, he was hypnotized by the glamour presented by artists such as Tuface, Snoop Dogg, and Michael Jackson. As a teenager, he was inspired to pick up the guitar by artists such as Asa and Prince. Ssunday's music delivers soothing spiritual experiences on stage, evoking nostalgia and creating space for the intimacy of love and grief. He recently featured as an opening act on the Lonya Express Tour for Starseed and Timi TGB.
