Stephen McCafferty is a singer songwriter, poised to release his debut as a solo artist, having garnered acclaim for his songwriting in prior ventures, earning praise from notable DJs Jim Gellatly and Vic Galloway. His path to this moment has been far from straightforward, marred by bouts of homelessness from his mid-teens into his early 20s, he moved from town to town, resorting to sofa-surfing and even finding temporary solace in a rusty wheelbarrow which he recalls as being surprisingly comfortable. He eventually wound up in a homeless shelter where he would go onto write the songs that would later propel he and his band toward three XFM Breakout tracks of the week, a feature in the Scottish Sun, and recognition on BBC Introducing. Serving also as the launchpad for UK tours, sharing stages with artists like We Were Promised Jetpacks and gracing venues such as O2 Academy and King Tut's as well as appearances at The Isle of Wight, The Great Escape, and In The City.
