Strange Devices is the musical project of Ray Long. Originally from the cold, northern waste lands of Western New York, Ray moved to sunny Los Angeles where his brain has been cooked by the sun. Born in '84, Ray's childhood was full of '80s dreams for a future past. Ray has been involved with music on and off since childhood (he used to play the tuba in his school's concert band), and then made a hard turn into black metal. After hearing synthwave in 2014, he immediately fell in love with the genre and its promise of a better yesterday with a bright future. When Ray isn't producing music, he writes code. Ever since the NES debuted, electronic entertainment has been a favorite passion.
