Born in Defiance, OH, SurnameIsrael recalls, “music has always been a HUGE part of my life!” The Emcee/Producer began playing drums at 4 years old in church. This led to playing concerts across the U.S. Later, Andrae, who became SurnameIsrael, moved to El Paso, TX. His sound is gritty underground Boom Bap. Lyrically, the pictures he paints are real, painful, truth-filled bars on top of his own crafted rugged beats. SurnameIsrael has shared stages with Da T.R.U.T.H., Flame and Curvine to name a few. After listening to his music, S.I. hopes audiences would gain hope, truth and a determination to keep moving forward with God's help, regardless of circumstance. S.I. is focused on being a great husband and creating authentic music.
