thedoode is a groove-driven multi-instrumentalist and music educator with a lifelong passion for rhythm and groove. Having picked up the drums at the age of four, he has spent almost 36 years exploring his love for percussion while also mastering guitar and bass. Though his heart still beats to the rhythm of the drums, his journey as a versatile musician has led him to embrace many instruments, with a special affinity for groove-heavy styles. Drawing influence from a diverse range of artists, from the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Foo Fighters to Dave Matthews Band, Elvis Costello, Nick Cave, and even the Wu-Tang Clan, his style blends alternative rock, funk, and deep rhythmic elements. This broad range is reflected in his approach to music, where groove is always at the core, regardless of the genre.
