I/O is a Memphis based singer, songwriter, and music producer. While he grew up in Southern Maryland, his journey as a music artist began to take shape throughout his college years in Virginia and his post-college years in Memphis, Tennessee. Growing up in a musical family, I/O was immersed in music from the very start, and consequently began creating music at a very young age. As I/O grew in his songwriting ability and began pioneering his artistic sound, he take significant inspiration from pop artists like Tori Kelly, James Arthur, Lauv, LANY, Jon Bellion, Jake Miller, Jake Scott, Mokita,and Virginia to Vegas, and R&B artists like Finding Hope, Drake, H.E.R, and UMI. The sound that I/O aims to express is a blend of indie pop, electro pop, and R&B. Through the diverse sound that he has cultivated, I/O not only produces his own music, but has also produced for a variety of different upcoming artists and has worked closely with other indie artist like Kmo, and Lucas James.
