King Cali is enriched w/ authentic west coast history. His Mother attended Crenshaw high school in Los Angeles while his father attended Dominguez high school in Compton. Both were highly charismatic, influential, talented, and quite the school star to say the least. Although his parents were divorced, they split time equally. 3 of his 4 grandparents went to Manual Arts high school in Los Angeles, and all have roots stemming from Watts, California. With his parents at odds, his Mother relocated to The East Bay where King would make new friends and graduate high school. The Bay being no stranger to King's family, his Maternal grandmother has family ties to East Palo Alto while his father has ties to Vallejo. Jay King of Club Nuveau is his uncle & he was influenced by his fathers friend Khayree Shaheed of Young Black Brotha Records. King Cali soon moved back home to Los Angeles to attend college and live out the many talents that run thru his dna.
