The Vaine Man is the ART POP musical project started by the artist Mircha Ivens. After graduating from a BA in Painting, his main focus was to create both through music and visual. He originally started as a hard rock blues singer and later began experimenting with various sounds and styles. His music incorporates elements of varied styles and genres including industrial, krautrock, ambient, dream pop, R&B, rock, folk, electronic music, hip-hop, R&B. The music has a somewhat baudlerian and dark character to it. The social commentary and existentialist themes of the music are delivered with a voice that strongly dominates the composition. As the name suggests - irony and humour are also a vital ingredient. The Vain Main is also a visual exploration into one eerie character’s universe and tells the story of something that emerges from our fears, anxiety, everyday hardship.
