A new breed within the reggae music genre. She is a Liberian female reggae artist and her name is Satta. Her sound is a clever blend of African reggae and spiritually soulful chanting with a rough edge. Satta’s performance repertoire ranges from music, dance, spoken word poetry, and acting. She accredits her musical influences to reggae legends likes Bob Marley and Peter Tosh, and newer artists Koffee and Jah 9. Satta also draws inspiration from Afrobeat, R&B, & Jazz music.
