New Orleans, LA

Trey Merrill is a New Orleans-rooted singer-songwriter currently based in Austin. His songs and stories are shaped by New Orleans, Gulf Coast soul, the long road, water, distance, and a lifetime spent around live music. After decades behind the curtain in concert production, touring, film and live entertainment, Merrill has stepped more fully into his own voice as an artist. Drawing from hard-earned miles and lived experience, he writes in an Americana storytelling tradition that values grit, humanity and truth.
