As an up and coming artist, Sizzla Kalonji was one of my major inspirations, from his ‘Da Real Thing’ album, which had a positive impact on my life from tracks such as ‘Thank You Mama’ and ‘She is in Love’. The smooth vocals and message resonate with my upbringing as a child, from the relationship I share with my mother and the struggles of growing up in Jamaica as a young child coming from a background of poverty. Who is TruStar as a person? TruStar is jovial, laid back person, who just likes to bring positivity and fun. Regardless of how bad things may seem, always try to have a positive outlook on life and be very optimistic in situations.
