Spent most of my life in LA - Lower Appalachia, that is. Played in bands, played in restaurants and churches. Biggest thing was “opening” for a couple members of REM at a house party back in 1986. I play piano and harmonica mostly, sing a bit. My love is and has always been writing songs, though. Wife, job, kids, and the rest of the usual suspects pulled me away from music for a long time. I now realize the songs were never mine. They were meant to flow through me. I was meant to do the best I could to mold them and then set them free. Summer 2025, my goal is to release them, let them live whatever life they can after being holed up in my mind and heart and flash drives for a couple decades. Maybe this is their time. Hopefully folks will hear them and find something that adds a little joy to a moment or three.
