Having met aged 12 and spent over a decade pursuing various musical projects together, few bands can boast the same rapport and intuition as Whitelocust. Officially coming together to form the outfit at the tail-end of 2021, the four members have not only fine-tuned their signature sound throughout the years spent writing music together, they have honed in on a style that captures the same raw essence of ’90s icons including Soundgarden, Jane’s Addiction and Red Hot Chili Peppers, alongside the smooth sultry stylings of ’70s frontmen Fred Neil, Robert Plant and Jim Morrison. The final result — a refreshing modern spin on renowned classics, which both tugs on the heartstrings of nostalgia, yet deliver a sound solely exclusive to the musicians that made it.
