Wilgens Pierre was born and partially raised in Haiti. At the age of nine years old, his family relocated to Atlanta, GA, and he has been there ever since. Being raised in a musically inclined family, Wilgens becoming a musician himself was nearly inevitable. He began to play piano, violin, and trumpet in his middle and high school years, later gravitating towards bass guitar as a junior in college. While working towards his Bachelor’s degree in Music, he gained exposure to classical and jazz music, allowing him to grow his music-based knowledge portfolio. His explorative nature has allowed him to be a part of projects that reflect a diverse range of genres; including Gospel, Country, Rock, Hip-Hop, Kompa, Latin, Indian Classical, EDM, and many others. Some of his biggest musical influences are Miles Davis, Clifford Brown, Dizzy Gillespie, John Coltrane, and Charlie Parker, just to name a few. Wilgens draws from all of his experiences when creating his own music.
