Wilson Kouk is a singer, songwriter, composer and self-taught guitar player. He was born and raised in Douala (Cameroon) where he developed his singing skill in a church of his hometown. From the age of 10 he felt a deep passion for the trilogy of Reggae: the strumming guitar, the walking bass and the drumbeat. He has a natural attraction towards the art of Bob Marley through his father, who made him listen to many of his songs at his early age. The unearthing got him inspired to start writing simple poetical lyrics which he sang on with his guitar. Wilson Kouk became more passionate and drew more inspiration while listening to other reggae artists like Joe Higgs, Max Romeo, Delroy Wilson, Toots and Clinton Fearon(The Gladiators). Wilson Kouk has always had a creative side which needed to be expressed.
