Our second release from about 2 years ago. Bio Dark Star Theory is a post rock band started by cousins Matthew and Sean in Riverside, CA. They explore our place in the expanding universe through celestial reverb and cataclysmic guitars. Ethereal synth, and a blend of electronic and natural percussion serve to guide them through space. Their first single, Countdown, follows the anxiety, trepidation, and unique joy of an astronaut as they leave the planet. Though initially just a reason to hang out after their previous project disbanded, they eventually began to release their songs as singles in 2020. The band name originates from Matthew’s habit of starting every meeting by discussing astrophysics and Newtonian mechanics. Matthew mixes and masters their songs at Humbledog Studio. Sean’s nature photography bridges the gap between earth and space as the album art. The music video for Vulpecula, set to release in mid-October, was written by Sean, and recorded and edited by Matthew. They are supported in all endeavors by their wives.more
