Young Bo The Great has always had a hand in music. After writing his first rap entittled "Hennessy Dreams" at the age of 13, he became obessed with rapping and writing songs. While at first only writing short raps, spoken word, and poetry, Bo eventually began recording and producing his own beats. While attending high school in his native home Oakland, spoken word became an outlet for Bo. However, the more he wrote and began performing it became more and more clear, Bo offers a new and fresh perspective in the real of Hip Hop much needed in the era of mumble rap. "I rap about what I've seen and what I've been through in my short time on this Earth. Putting it behind a dope beat is just a plus for the listener," Bo enthusiatically describes his motivations. Growing up in Oakland, CA a city rich in culture, diversity, beauty, and in too many instances hardship, has greatly influenced his sound, from his rap style to his often bouncy and catchy production.
