Berkeley

Hailing from the wilds of Alaska, sunny Philippines, and quiet corners of rural New England, Zen & Sarafin is the indie folk trio of Mariko Sarafin, James Perez, & Jacob Day. The three met in the Bay Area finding a shared love of building community through music. Their songs reflect their roots, blending intimate acoustic guitar driven songwriter sensibilities, ambient indie rock soundscapes, intentional lyricism, and intimate storytelling. They’re currently working on their first EP with plans to expand the project’s membership and sound.
