Pittsburgh

J SKI turns thoughts into bars and moments into melodies. Rooted in Pittsburgh and raised in Wilkinsburg, his music is shaped by a trap-or-die upbringing where survival and ambition went hand in hand. Influenced by Lil Wayne’s lyrical creativity, J SKI fuses trap intensity with emotional honesty and smooth, confident delivery—balancing raw street perspective with sharp wordplay and melody. He began writing in the booth at just 14, using music as both an escape and an outlet, and by 16 he was recording and independently releasing records. That early hunger laid the foundation for a sound built on pressure, persistence, and growth. His releases POWERTRIP and SKI TALK showcase his evolution as an artist—POWERTRIP leaning into high-energy confidence, hunger, and dominance, while SKI TALK delivers slick flows, flex-heavy bars, and unfiltered mindset records that feel both polished and street-ready. Each project captures a different side of J SKI’s world, proving his versatility and vision
