Fastbacks
Fastbacks were a pioneering Seattle band. Formed in 1979 by songwriter/guitarist Kurt Bloch (born August 28, 1960), and friends Lulu Gargiulo (guitar and vocals, born October 12, 1960) and Kim Warnick (bass and vocals, born April 7, 1959), they disbanded in 2001. Their sound mixed a generally punk approach to vocals and sound textures with poppy tunes and strong musicianship. Bloch is also a member of The Young Fresh Fellows as well as Thee Sgt. Major III. The Fastbacks reunited for a show in West Seattle in the summer of 2011.

Down In Tinsel Town
Well, 'tis the season as they say. Here's a subversive, yet festive number that was written and recorded using tenor acoustic guitars. Have a listen, enjoy, and all the best for the holiday season everyone. Peace. Lyrics: Christmas to the rescue! Burn the malls in tinsel town A wrong turn in December And we'll escape the Christmas sounds. I'm alone this Christmas To shovel all the snow Think of me in the garland And we can go for pho. You're my rare find This Christmastime. It's Christmas to the rescue Once a year I drink scotch Hold me to the new year When I won't wear a watch. You're my rare find This Christmastime. more

Undercoat
A newer track I released to streaming platforms recently. It's another super chill, acoustic number. (Anyone recognize the brand 'Champion' jackets in the photo?) Either way, have a listen and enjoy. Peace. And keep safe everyone. Lyrics: Sunday morning arrived Slept under my coat And I didn't mind The questioning in your voice I took this sleeping arrangement by choice Like I wanted to. As memories filtered down I wasn't sure you'd still be around Swirling here in my brain Holding my heart Hostage again Like you wanted to. Though your silence Would light up the room I would have loved you To shoot for the moon And embrace The one thing we both knew We'd lose again and again Again and again and again. It felt like anchors aweigh When you held my hand in the sunshine that day Quoting Maestro Fresh-Wes You took me back down to Hollis I guessed that you wanted to? Though your silence Would light up the room I would have loved you To shoot for the moon And embrace The one thing we both knew We'd lose again and again Again and again and again. more

Runnin' Down A Dream
This is a cover of the great Tom Petty song, which was written by Tom, Mike Campbell and Jeff Lynne. I'm not sure what possessed me to cover Tom Petty. I actually did dream about it, so I decided to roll with it in the end I guess. This is part of an awfully fun cover song compilation from a bunch of indie artists I know, riding out this pandemic like champs. Have a listen and enjoy. And keep running down your dream. 🤘😷more
