Scheduled for release on August 28th, 2026, this song marks the 3rd track in The Woods, Hotel’s On Fire’s debut album. Featuring new production techniques, new mic placements, new arrangement philosophy… On top of it all, it’s a rewritten track from a demo I wrote ten years ago in a MIDI file that I eventually decided was unplayable. A snippet of that same MIDI is in the song, accompanied by guitar, in each bridge section, slowed to 100BPM instead of the original 130BPM. Turns out 130 BPM sixteenth notes is a bit intense for guitar players who haven’t been doing that for a billion years. So tell me. Does it slap?more
