George Jones
By most accounts, George Jones (born George Glenn Jones September 12, 1931 in Saratoga, Texas, died April 26, 2013, in Nashville, Tennessee), was the finest vocalist in the recorded history of country music. Initially, he was a hardcore honky tonker in the tradition of Hank Williams, but over the course of his career he developed an affecting, nuanced ballad style. In the course of his career, he never left the top of the country charts, even as he suffered innumerable personal and professional difficulties.

You Can Go Now
"You Can Go Now" was written from the perspective of myself being dead, watching people come and go, especially my ex, hearing words and regrets I needed to hear while I was still alive. It's about the painful realization that sometimes people only appreciate what they had once it's gone. By the end, the meaning takes an unexpected turn without changing the message: telling her she can leave becomes a reminder that there's still someone alive who needs her, and maybe this time, she should choose to stay. more

Secret Love
Some love stories are never told. Some feelings are never spoken. And sometimes, the most beautiful love is the kind that quietly lives in your heart. “Secret Love” is a heartfelt country-soul ballad inspired by the timeless romance of classic love songs from the 1950s and '60s. With sweeping orchestral strings, tender piano, soulful vocals, and an old-fashioned slow-dance melody, this song brings back an era when love songs could truly move your soul. It's about that special someone who unknowingly inspires a smile, a dream, or even a melody. A love that asks for nothing in return yet leaves something beautiful behind. “I'll never ask you to be mine, just let me love you between the lines.” “Secret Love” is for anyone who believes that sometimes the most meaningful feelings are the ones we never put into words. If you love timeless romantic ballads, classic country-soul, and music that tells a story, I'd love for you to give this one a listen. Thanks for listening and supporting independent music!more
