The song honours masculine softness, intimacy and emotional openness, placing care and instinct above dominance. By translating it into Welsh and reimagining it as Branwen fel bachgen, I wanted to weave its spirit into Welsh mythology, particularly the story of Branwen ferch Llŷr, where love and gentleness are set against pride and power. Nature is central to our interpretation, with oceanic and wildlife textures reflecting my upbringing along the Gower Peninsula coast and my deep connection to the Welsh ocean. We kept its essence while giving it a new home within a Welsh cultural landscape.more
