More than one band has used the name 'Peru'. The British indiepop one is active and the Dutch synth band is not. 1) PERU are a guitar pop band from Derby/Nottingham (England) playing C86-style indiepop from 1992-96 and have reformed to perform live in 2010. They originally released on Shelflife, Waaaah, Meller Welle and released the album 'Across Blue Skies' on Jigsaw Records in 2010. An Ep on Dufflecoat Records is planned for 2011. 2) PERU was a Dutch Synthesizer band, started in 1979 with Peter Kommers and Ruud van Es.
