Yooter was born and raised in Jackson Heights, Queens, NYC to a Peruvian mother and father.
From an early age, Yooter showed love for various types of music.
The name “Yooter” comes from the Graffiti world. He used the tag “U.T. ONE” or “U.T.ER”.
Some people had read his tag incorrectly, pronouncing it “YOOTER”. He couldn’t shake the name
the streets had spoken.
In the 1990’s, Yooter began recording mixed tapes. He partnered with DJ Spin One, DJ Diz-One
Juganot, and DJ Camilo to form Strictly Live.
Yooter DJ’d at Café Society, Arena, Decos, The Muse, Casablanca, and other dance clubs of the time
in New York City.
In 2001, Yooter began helping DJ Camilo, co-producing the “Take it to the streets” radio show broadcasting on NYC’s Hot 97 FM. As mixed tapes evolved into mixed CD’s, Yooter hit the mixed CD game harder, along side DJ Diz-One. As a producer, Yooter has an Album/Project with ROOTSVANA titled "Físico" containing songs with various Urban and Urban Latino produc
