Q and Not U was a Washington, D.C. post-hardcore band from 1998-2005, signed with Dischord Records. Their sound, with fractured guitar leads and disorganized and inventive percussion, was a direct tribute to DC post-hardcore forefathers like Fugazi and Rites of Spring, but added noticably more art-damaged and rhythmic elements to their chaotic and emotional music. Members John Davis, Harris Klahr, Christopher Richards, and Matt Borlik formed the band in 1998.

Wait so long
This track is about seeing reoccurring behavior in your life that you know is torturous. Yet overtime it becomes normalized. By the time you wake up, there is resentment in time lost. A frustration of your inability to recognize or name it. Lastly, the overwhelming sense of injustice in knowing the origin will never validate your experience.more

Day parade
The story of this song is about those that are lost by giving importance where the earnestness does not lie. Everyone wants their days to be easy going and yet we all tend to judge one another. We tend to create fanciful ways of imagining our future successes like a carrot on a stick.
