For a while, I’ve been trying to hone in on a sound that I can make beats with all live instruments, but still keep a hiphop essence that can’t be mistaken. Found it’s a fine line to walk. Think I’m getting a lot closer with this release. All the instruments were played live by me with a click track and then I rapped over it. This track will be 1 of 3 on an upcoming EP I am releasing next month called, “Process”. The EP is fully written/recorded and is in the process of being mixed.more

I made this track on a whim one night. I had made the saxophone beat prior to that night and left it in my unfinished projects for months. I stumbled upon the project and my newfound inspiration went to work. This track expresses lyrically the taking back of my identity, being a bad girl as in being a non-traditional "femme" trans woman, getting high with the girls, embracing gothic and alternative lifestyles, and ultimately being myself. The breaking down of stereotypes brought forth by transmisogyny, as well as recognizing the harmful behavior that toxic masculinity has been conditioned into cishet men rides along the other themes in this track like a bulldozer. This track is officially releasing on Spotify at midnight on Friday, October 13th! I am the sole songwriter, producer, album cover artist, and marketer of this rack, so if you think it slaps, feel free to find my links, follow me, pre-save the track, and share it with someone you think will love it! But there is no pressure to do so. <3more
