After searching for members in Chicago,United States, Static and Jay decided to go to Los Angeles to continue their search. There they met Tony Campos from the Mexican death metal band Asesino, and Koichi Fukuda, completing the band's original line-up. Static-X signed with Warner Brothers Records in early 1998. The band's debut album, Wisconsin Death Trip, was released March 23, 1999.

Overcome
"Overcome" is my newest single, and it's about overcoming your bad memories, people & periods of your life. I tried to make a song that shifts between heavy and calm as well as glitching in and out of reality to reflect the mind of the people trying to overcome their stuff. I'm really happy with this song, i hope you guys enjoy it too! (Im aware about the lag at 2:05, I was unable to fix it in post) ___________________________ LYRICS: An eternity of pain, Feels like yesterday in the rain, Crushed and broken in despair, Fists to the ground, On my knees in the demons lair, As feelings came crashing, Emotions like waves consuming, Here I stand, Enough with cage, I'm done with sobbing, Pain is the fuel to make me stronger, It motivates and creates a hunger, Yesterday's hurt drives me on, Burning the fuel from dusk 'til dawn, (Yeah) The memories wont be gone, But I'll forge them into pawns, (Yeah) Every word, Every punch, I'm off my knees, Working the crunch, The hate and pain, My fire as i train, You can't stop me, I stand tall in the rain, Hate is the fuel that makes me tougher, It shapes me and takes me higher, Yesterday's hurts drives me on, Burning the fuel from dusk 'til dawn, (Yeah), My rage created empty walls, But I've repopulated my halls, (With strength, with love and repair), (Welcome to my lair), (I've overcome), (Your narcissistic pick me), You though you could change me, You really tried to break me, But you could never foresee me, (Overcome), You're trash, Like a rash, Only after cash, You were a leech, Wanting a beach, All you did was screech, (Please), Now you're the one who's down, Help yourself when you drown, So have fun in you're pain, In vain, Nobody will make it rain, (Show them what you overcome), Their bad memories comes undone, (Yeah), Fakes are the ones that makes you harder, They break you and makes you smarter, Yesterday's hurts drives you on, Our story made me learn, That someone is just after what you earn, (Don't let them have their turn), (Yeah), (Overcome), (Your pain), My head hurts, Memories, Slipping in and out, more
