AnikkaNystrom

Sweden

Anikka Nyström is a Swedish Industrial Metal and Industrial Rock band founded in 2020 by songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Anikka Nyström. Initially exploring Darkwave and Gothic Rock, the band released the demo Hypoxia and the EP Carbon Harvest before entering a four-year hiatus. In 2026, Anikka also founded the Industrial Metal band DissectriX. After restructuring as a solo project, Anikka developed an experimental phase, including the EPs Last Train Through, Pale, and Nightmare's Key. In 2026, the project underwent another restructuring and adopted a Swedish-German lineup: Anikka Nyström (vocals/bass/synthesizers), Agatha Wiese (guitar), and Elsa Gebhardt (drums), who also joined DissectriX. The current sound of both Anikka Nyström and DissectriX is centered on Industrial Metal and Industrial Rock, combining heavy instrumentation with electronic elements. DissectriX has releases scheduled for September and October 2026.
