This song is about the reassuring knowledge that the night is darkest right before it becomes pitch black. The relief of understanding that your life only matters a little bit. The warmth of realizing that, after all you've been through, the sun will rise after you die. The security of knowing that the universe will remember each of our mortal sacrifices - in aggregate. These are all good things, though they might seem a little cold at first.more

This song is based on a true story of mine that is simultaneously more and less unsettling than the lyrics may make you imagine. Turning the experience into a campy horror grunge track helps me deal.more
