Beats by One Six is a hip-hop producer with over two decades of experience crafting timeless instrumentals rooted in the golden era of boom bap. Known for his soulful samples, gritty textures, and hard-hitting drums, One Six creates music that speaks directly to MCs — the kind of beats that demand bars. Drawing inspiration from legends like DJ Premier, Pete Rock, Dr. Dre, Large Professor, Havoc, and The Alchemist, One Six has carved out a signature sound that blends raw emotion with streetwise precision. Every beat is a carefully layered composition that pays homage to the essence of real hip-hop, while pushing the sound forward. As a producer and artist, he’s worked with underground heavyweights including Lord Willin, CNR Jaxx, Splurge, creating tracks that resonate with both hip-hop purists and new listeners alike. His work showcases a deep respect for the craft, from vinyl digging and crate raiding to chopping on the MPC and bringing stories to life through sound.
