BB Smith has been a long standing guitar player, endeavouring to play multiple genres since an early age. He started out learning on to play the Violin at the age of 5, but quickly decided the instrument wasn't for him. He then progressed to playing Trumpet and played in the first chair the school band and local Brass Bands / Marching Bands. Whilst doing this he had picked up a keen interest in guitar based music starting with surf rock and progressing to listen to bands like Led Zeppelin, Jethro Tull and singer songwriters like Paul Simon, Cat Stevens and Harry Nilsson to name but a small amount. He learnt guitar primarily on his own starting off with music from The Ventures and the White Stripes then tackling Led Zeppelin and Ozzy Osbourne Tracks. He is now the Bassist for local group After Hours and one half of the local duo Shake 'n' Bake and producing LoFi music using his influences.
