Here's a song in honor of those artists who literally lived the blues. - Once upon a time (English lyrics) This is how it all began This is the story of Robert Johnson Waiting at the crossroads for his duty He carves his legacy with voice and guitar Thirty-three - twelve bars to die for Forgetting himself and his last wishes Oh he gave everything, sang everything At his death, the blues was born His riffs made us vibrate so much - Once upon a time a smart man Who sold his soul to feel blues - A little later in San Francisco We see the silhouette of Janis Joplin Waiting seated at the studio bar Her turn to record Summertime With a hundred-year-old voice and her life burned away Destroying herself and without mercy Oh she gave everything, endured everything At her death, the blues continues Her fado made us cry so much - Once upon a time a smart lady Who burned her soul to feel blues - Where are Basquiat and his brushes hiding? He's waiting for his friend Warhol in New York He knows neither rest nor vacation Neither sleep nor even satiety The next painting will be another masterpiece Made of blood and sky, of powder and debauchery Oh, he gave it all, drew it all Upon his death, the blues continue His colors have made us question so much - Once upon a time, a smart man Who charred his soul to feel bluesmore
