Born & brought up in one of Toronto, Canada’s most dangerous neighbourhoods, Quincy ‘Cigar Ra’ McCollin’s Trinidadian tribe settled in Driftwoods public housing complex in the Jane & Finch area after migrating from the island Trinidad. Raised throughout the GTA, he later grounded his feet as a young student in the soil and concretes known as the ‘The Flower Town of Canada’ also known as ‘Brampton’. A developing suburban city located an hour out of the Ontario’s Capital. Before music became the anchor in ‘Cigar’s journey. Soccer was the bullseye’s on the dart board in his life. After a threatening injury, Cigar took up writing as therapy that was quietly exercised in the shadows & lone time in his bedroom. With already being a Hiphop junky and classical music echoing his cranium from his mother playing ‘The 9th Symphony’ from Beetoven while moms cleaned the house, Cigar took his position as an artist and wanted to be the creator of his own creation. Thus developing his own craft.
