Here’s “Almost,” the next release from my upcoming album There Was Just More. This one is about getting so close to something real that you can almost feel it happening… only for the moment to slip away. “Funny how almost can still break your heart.” Sharing it here a little early before it hits streaming. Would love to hear what you think.more

“Joey (Guardian Angel)” is a reflective, emotionally grounded hip-hop record that explores loyalty, quiet sacrifice, and the unseen weight carried by people who give more than they receive. Built around minimal piano, warm pads, and restrained sub-bass, the production creates an intimate atmosphere that allows the message to breathe without distraction. The song centers on Joey as a symbolic “guardian angel” figure... Someone who shows up consistently, supports without recognition, and absorbs emotional weight without complaint. Through layered verses and a cinematic chorus, the track highlights the imbalance between what she gives and what she gets back, while acknowledging the artist’s own awareness and inability to fix it. Vocally, the delivery stays controlled and conversational, avoiding dramatics in favor of authenticity. Subtle ad-libs, echoes, and widening effects enhance the emotional tone without overpowering it. As the song progresses, the instrumentation expands slightly, reaching a full but still restrained emotional peak before settling back into a reflective outro. At its core, the track is about gratitude, guilt, and recognition... Giving a voice to the kind of quiet love that rarely gets acknowledged, but holds everything together. more
