I was talking to someone recently about the need to make sure that you have a life worth living. To do the things that make you, you.
It stems from the fact that I think we are all guilty of getting caught up in the busyness of life. Living on autopilot for want of a better word.
For me - I've always tended to try and do the things that are meaningful. For example owning a gym allows me to work with people who are struggling and hopefully have a positive impact on their lives.
The issue is that "work" can be quite consuming and has meant I haven't always left time and space for the things that I love or enjoy.
As John Lennon once said "life is what happens while you are busy making other plans...".
So following on from the conversation I had I decided to take the ready, fire aim approach and book in to record a few things I've been messing around with for years but have never finished.
It's fair to say that this is WAY outside my comfort zone but I was once taught that this is where good things happen.
Thanks a million to Rohan K Healy & Al at Beardfire Recording & Rehearsal Studios - Formerly Badlands for helping me to put this together.
There might be some creative life left in this 43 year old "dog" yet....
