Down Black Dojo is a CT duo that is committed to bringing back real hip-hop by creating meaningful and soulful music. The Duo is composed of ABWYH and Matteo. ABWYH is a haitian born composer who incorporates a lot of Haitian musical elements into all of the intricate melodies that he creates. The Caribbean undertones in all of his sounds mixed with Hip-hop/R&b create a refreshing and new genre that still feels familiar. Matteo is a CT/North Carolina native that lyrically and vocally delivers complex rhyme structures and melodies on all of ABWYH’s sounds. His vocal presence leaves a long lasting impression on listeners. Whether it’s singing, rapping or something in between, he finds a way to deliver something refreshing. Some of his biggest inspirations are Biggie Smalls, J. Cole, K-Dot, and Brent Faiyaz.
