Dre the General is the professional name of Hip-hop recording artist, Andre Clark. A New York City native, the rapper grew up in Brooklyn. Living with his mother and four cousins, music was a constant presence in the home. At a very young age he started writing his own songs, inspired by his heroes; Michael Jackson, Jay-Z and Lil Wayne.
In 2014 Dre the General released his debut album "Almost There." With that record he introduced a unique sound that includes creative production and a writing style that veers away from most of the common Hip-hop tropes. Since then the prolific rapper has delivered another full length album and over a dozen singles, including six in 2020. Now Dre is back with a brand new EP.
"Pressure" is the new EP from Dre the General, released worldwide to all major streaming services on July 16, 2021. The five song collection is an excellent introduction to the rapper's distinctive style.
