At the tender age of eleven Camino's relationship with music had already become more than a hobby--it was the music that saved his life. (Gary was then known as the "Murder Capital" of the country). In a time when unemployment was high and drugs overpowered the community, Camino's mother decided to get him out of Gary and moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota. There, Camino pursued his passion for music by attending a small music school that was ran by the late Jack Robinson. Mr. Robinson later went on to start one of the biggest music schools in the country--Institution of Production and Recording (I.P.R.) Shortly thereafter, Camino got together with a local friend and started a R&B- Hip-Hop group, "Grimmy and Camino" and released four albums and five mixtapes. The two independently sold 80,000 copies out of the trunk
