Growing up in the Bay Area of California, in the 90’s, was a catalyst for inspiring artists like Free$Money. The son of a doo-wop musician from the streets of San Francisco, Greg Gardner was born with the pulse of music running through his blood. Raised on the melodies of Motown and early R&B music, he soon became fascinated with funk, rap, and hip hop music. Using a tape deck, recording his 1st rhyme that he wrote, at the age of 9. The young and talented kid from Sonoma, and Marin county began to explore the world of hip-hop music. Fascinated by other artists wit, and styles of delivery, he soon became obsessed with turning his rhymes into stories. Along with the combination of the growing momentum that the hyphy movement brought, and other mainstream and underground local artists and groups, his music quickly became a product of Bay Area culture and influence, and is still represented in his style today. Eventually opening for artists like Brandy, San Quinn, Rappin’ 4 Tay, and others
